Classroom Management 4
It has been said that classroom management can be the key to a successful classroom. Why do you think that could be true? In what ways do classroom management techniques impact student learning?
As stated in a previous answer I believe that classroom management is the key to a successful classroom. Without good classroom management techniques you will be unable to keep your students on task and thus be unable to help them learn. I didn't know if I was supposed to answer this question or not because it is the same as a previous one.
Classroom management is important for both teacher and students. For teacher helps them to have the material of the lessons organized how s/he is going to teach, etc. For studends it keeps them focus on task. They students know what to expect so they can behave accordinly. With that, they may avoid getting in trouble. Classroom managament also give the students structure and guidelines.
I believe that classroom management is a key to success in the classroom. Classroom management involves being able to keep students engaged in the classroom activities, behaving during classroom activities, and creating a community amongst the classroom. When a teacher has managed a classroom in a way that students are engaged in activities, students will be learning more. Also, when students feel like a community with their peers in a classroom, they are going to enjoy learning more. I read the book "Why Fly That Way" were a teacher creates that sense of community in her classroom with students who had never felt that, and their attitudes toward learning improved dramatically. Along with students building a community with their peers, they must also know that the teacher is also a part of the community. When the students and the teacher respect eachother, they behavior issues will become lesser.
Classroom management is extremely important in the classroom. It is the basis for structure in your classroom and can be built upon with class rules, expectations, etc. If a teacher does not have their classroom under control then it is almost impossible for any learning to occur. If we constantly have children disrupting the class and not paying attention, then what is the information students are absorbing? Probably not much of anything. So by keeping a classroom "under control" through classroom management techniques we will see less behavioral issues and more learning!
It is very true that classroom management is key to a successful classroom. Without it, there is no way the teacher would be able to teach anything and the students would be able to learn anything. The teacher has to be able to keep control of their students so they can concentrate and pay attention to learn things. If the classroom is out of control the students will be distracted and won't learn anything. If there is good classroom management, student learning will increase.
Good classroom management creates a positive learning environment. If the class is well organized, the students know what to do, and they know how to behave, they will be more capable of maintaining focus. It will be more likely that they will learn. Proper classroom management will help keep the students on task and hopefully minimize distractions.
Effective classroom management is crucial to a successful and productive learning environment. As a teacher, you must be "in control" of your students, and you must gain their respect in doing so. By setting rules and using effective management techniques early on (and I stress "early" because the longer you wait to implement these techniques, the harder it will be to get control of your class), you and your students will come to an understanding of how things should and will work. Effective classroom management techniques have a tremendous impact on student learning. I believe that they increase learning, because the students are able to focus on learning the material as opposed to giving into distractions such as staring into space or talking with a neighbor.
I believe that classroom management in an integral component of a successful classroom. Classroom management creates structure upon the rest of the class can follow. Once student become familiar with the way you run your classroom, I believe it will help create a positive learning environment. A positive learning environment is also key to thriving student learning. Effective classroom management is beneficial to both educators and their students.
Wow! I never realized I didn't answer this question until now when I am going through rereading what everyone wrote. To answer this question, yes I do believe that classroom management is the key to a successful classroom. With out good classroom management, the class could turn into chaos. Not only will the students not respect the teacher, the students will begin to not respect one another. Also it creates an area where everyone can come together and feel free to share their opinion and not worry about being right or wrong. Having good classroom management also helps you to get to know the students on a more personal level and makes the learning environment fu for everyone.
